Sophie’s work explores colour, form and space, and how one interacts with the other. Inspired by geometry, architecture, liminal spaces and places of transition, she translates 2D shapes into complex 3D forms. Investigating the curve through play, Sophie’s approach to creating is to find a playfulness in the infinite colour combinations and iterations of form.

Cast in different colours and laminated into pairs, these pairs become segments, the building blocks of a puzzle. The segments are joined together to become larger forms that grow slowly outwards from a singular point. Each piece develops through intuition and play.
