statement

Sophie’s work explores the relationship between colour, form and space, and how each element influences the others. Inspired by geometry, architecture, liminal spaces and places of transition, she transforms two-dimensional shapes into complex three-dimensional forms. Through an intuitive and playful process, she investigates the curve, exploring the endless possibilities created by colour and form.

Each element is cast in a different colour and laminated into pairs, creating individual segments that act as the building blocks of a larger composition. Like pieces of a puzzle, these segments are joined together to form structures that gradually expand outwards from a single point. Every work evolves through intuition, experimentation and play, allowing the final form to emerge organically.
